Northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK) pulp prices in the U.S. East spot markets remained unchanged from mid-July, as did Southern bleached softwood kraft (SBSK) due to widespread availability of various grades.

NBSK delivered in the Northeast or Midwest held flat at US$420 to $450/tonne, or 13% below July contract prices, paperloop sources said. SBSK was also stagnant at US$400 to $430/tonne.
