Union Camp Corp. will acquire Phoenix Display and Packaging Corp., a marketing, merchandising and point-of-purchase display company based in West Deptford, New Jersey. The agreement is subject to regulatory approval.

"This acquisition builds on our regional display business and positions us as a national leader in the point-of-purchase industry," said Matt Heleva, Graphics Group general manager at Union Camp. "Phoenix expands our graphics capability and enhances our ability to provide retail merchandising solutions. In addition, Phoenix brings a broad network of sales, design and manufacturing centers, which will help us to become even more responsive to our customers."

Founded in 1991 by Andrew and Mitchell Edelman, sales of Phoenix Display have grown significantly over the last six years. The company is now among the largest point-of-purchase providers in the United States.
