Rena Kartonfabrik A.S. in Norway, has recently installed an M&Y Air Systems trim handling system. The system is serving a Jagenberg Vari-Step 58 winder, reportedly operating at 1,800 m/min. According to the company, the width of trim coming off the winder is 75-mm per side and the material being processed varies between 200-600 gsm. This Norwegian order is one of many overseas commissions recently received by M&Y.

David Wilson, sales and marketing director for M&Y said, "In the last 12 months we have broken into a number of new markets, including China. Sales to the United States have been exceptional and large orders have been obtained in Indonesia, Taiwan, New Zealand and Australia. A return of business confidence in mainland Europe has led to new contracts in Germany, Spain and Belgium.

The complete package supplied included a trim handling fan; vee-belt driven by a 45 kw motor, inlet and outlet silencers; patented air velocity controller (AVC) and material discharge unit (MDU) together with all interconnecting ductwork.

The company has also received a repeat order for a size 14 MDU from carton producer Buchmann GmbH of Rinnthal, Germany. This is the second MDU ordered by the company. The first was delivered to Buchmann in 1994.
