OEC Graphics, Inc., a leading supplier of digital prepress products and services to the flexographic, lithographic and screen-printing industries, has signed an agreement to acquire controlling interest of Burr Ridge, IL based CAD Coat, LLC, an industry leading offset coating plate, flexographic and corrugated prepress supplier.

Under the acquisition, CAD Coat will officially be renamed OEC Graphics - Chicago, LLC, maintaining their product identity with the CAD Coat label.

“The acquisition of CAD Coat was based on the desire to diversify OEC even further and benefit from CAD Coat's significant market share of the offset coating plate and flexographic prepress business,” said Jack Schloesser, President of OEC Graphics.

Upon the completion of this acquisition, CAD Coat joins OEC's other subsidiary Horizon Color, a prepress supplier to the corrugated industry.
