The price for U.S. old corrugated containers (OCC) shipped to Asia actually rose, despite the sluggish summer economy, due to increased interest and demand from South Korea. While China and South Korea have continued to be the main consumers of U.S. OCC in the last six months, Asia's overall demand for the product remained weak.
