Richard Wilkinson, formerly Southwestern regional sales manager for Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC, has been advanced to director of sales and marketing. In this position, Wilkinson will be responsible for the North and South American regional sales managers as well as the company's sales support and marketing teams.

CreoScitex chose Paul Angelsky to direct the packaging sales team efforts in North and South America on behalf of the company. With an extensive background in packaging, Angelsky has the necessary criteria to attend to the packaging prepress market across the Americas.

BCM Inks USA, Inc. adds John Sarik, national technical director, to its staff. Sarik will relay his 20 years' experience in the ink business to better serve BCM's customers in areas of flexographic and digital inks for high-graphic and process printing on corrugated containers and displays.

Unilux Inc., designer and manufacturer of stroboscopic surface inspection systems for the global printing/converting industries, hired four sales representatives to cover various parts of the world. The new representatives, William Fox (Australia), Peter Lam (China), Alvaro Lopez (Costa Rica), Sidney Massey (San Salvador, El Salvador) and Shaul Milstein (Israel), give Unilux a global advantage over its competitors by offering agents in 23 countries (including the U.S.).

Siobhan Livesey was named managing director of SHS Group Limited, the England-based integrated corrugating and materials handling solutions. Formerly financial director for SHS Group, Livesey's main task will be expanding the company's opportunities in the marketplace.

Caleb Fort and Edgar Lawton III were recently inducted into Sonoco's board of directors after a nomination at the company's annual shareholder's meeting in April. Chosen unanimously, Fort and Lawton filled a board retirement and existing vacancy effective July 17, 2001.

Also, Terry Sueltman was appointed staff vice president of purchasing and logistics for the company.

Environmental Inks and Coatings welcomes Glenn Sasaki to its staff. Sasaki, who has been in the ink and printing business for 23 years, will fill the position of senior account manager, focusing on the UV printing industry.

The Pacific Coast Paper Box Manufacturers' Association elected the following officers for the new year: Dick Miller, president; Richard Chapman, vice-president; and Evan Gardner, treasurer.

Luis Leon was appointed chief financial officer for Graphic Packaging International Corp. Leon has held previous positions as chief financial officer and treasurer.

Jeff Michels has been promoted to vice president of operations at Great Northern Corp.'s Container Group at the company's Racine, WI location. Once director of product development at the company, Michels will now work with production staff to improve safety, reduce waste, increase efficiency and reduce inventories.

Also, John Walshire joins Great Northern Corp.'s Container Group as production manager of the Appleton, WI facility. His previous experience includes a variety of roles, such as customer service, design, quality control and production management.

Patricia O'Carroll has been added to the staff of Smurfit-Stone Container Corp.'s board sales division as director of customer service. Responsible for overseeing customer service operations within the board sales division, O'Carroll will serve the company's West Point, VA and Chicago, IL locations.

Nicoat appoints Alan Kalmikoff as vice president of sales and marketing. With 26 years of experience in the graphic arts industry, Kalmikoff has held a variety of strategic international marketing, sales management and global supply chain positions.

John Nightingale was named regional sales director for Prime UV Systems, covering the Southeastern U.S. and Latin American territories. He brings 12 years of converting and graphic arts experience to this role.

Dale Bunnell, Mark Andy, Inc.'s vice president of business development, retired this August, after dedicating 38 years to the flexographic industry.
