Danarota Technic A/S, Denmark, reports that orders continue to come in from paper and board mills and from machine builders for Montalvo pneumatic friction brakes, load cells and tension controllers. Bjorn Oleson, managing director of Danarota, says that the suggestion of a more stable business environment has resulted in the reinstatement of a number of upgrading projects that have benefitted Montalvo. OY Graficon AB, the local Montalvo agent in Finland, has obtained a number of orders from Finnish mills for HP series and standard series brakes. United Paper Mills in Valkeakoski have had Montalvo HP series pneumatic friction brakes delivered, and Reuma-Repola OY and Tampella OY have purchased the company's standard series brakes. Brakes, load cells and controllers have also been ordered by Jylhaevaara Valmet Paper machinery in Finland and by Valmet-Strecker in Germany. The HP series brake is reportedly compact in design and can perform tasks that in normal circumstances would require a brake that is one or two sizes larger. According to the company, the low inertia adds less tension to the web through rotational kinetic energy, and higher rotational speeds are possible.
