According to the company, the Gietz Rofo 870 foil stamper, a 34-in. web width (31.5-in. stamping width) high-speed web press, foil stamps, embosses and transfers holograms with reportedly accurate registration using economical flat stamping tools. According to the manufacturer, the benefits include: savings on expensive rotary dies; optimum use of foil by running it both transversely and longitudinally; production speeds of 100 strokes per minute or 230 feet per minute; and both print registration and web registration for proper positioning in both the lateral and running direction of the web.
