Smurfit-Stone Container, the world's largest integrated producer of paperboard and paper-based packaging products, signed a two-year, US $5 million agreement with CompuCom to equip its North American manufacturing plants with Compaq's industry-standard ProLiant servers as part of a plant-wide IT upgrade.

Over the next two years, CompuCom, a leading digital infrastructure solutions provider, will replace the servers in each of Smurfit's 330 North American manufacturing plants with Compaq ProLiant ML 370 servers.
