Aurora, Colorado All Packaging Co., based in Aurora, Colorado, has recently completed the installation and successful test runs of its new $2-million Mitsubishi 3F-6 sheet fed offset press. The press is reportedly the first of its kind in Colorado. The company, a supplier of folding cartons for customers such as Scott's Liquid Gold/Neoteric Cosmetics, Wright & McGill Co., Arizona Diamondbacks, Quark Inc., Keebler Co., and Hewlett-Packard Co., has reportedly achieved levels of registration within eight microns on the new press. All Packaging also reports printing at 13,000 sheets of paperboard per hour. The company recently caught the attention of the National Paperbox Association (NPA) packaging competition judges at the association's 1998 annual meeting. The NPA bestowed 15 awards upon the folding carton converter. The awards included honors in Best Protective Package, Best Innovation, Judge's Choice, Best Family of Packages, Best Improvement over a Former Package and Best Surface Design. The company, founded in 1945, has 62 employees who work in its 65,000-sq.-ft. facility.
